Group therapy and psychotherapy is a foundation and basis in healing the majority of emotional and psychological, mental struggles people experience: anger, anxiety, depression, fear, shame, and many others. Individuals increase and improve their confidence and self-assurance through revealing and unveiling their inner lives to others in the group. Affected individuals really feel less alone in these groups when they understand other people’s lives have similar issues. And, understanding and knowing other people’s problems, difficulties, goals, and the solutions and options which will help them much better understand themselves. A treatment center is able to also experiment with different and various roles, and methods for being in-group that inform as well as change an individual lives outside of group. Group therapy offers opportunities and possibilities for transcending a person’s life struggles and challenges through experiencing and going through an individual’s common humanness with other people.
